Business practices in emerging markets are constantly challenged by the dynamic environments that involve stakeholders. This increases the interconnectedness and collaboration as well as spillover effect among business agents, that may increase or hold back economic stability. This phenomenon is captured in this proceedings volume, a collection of selected papers of the 10th ICBMR 2016 Conference, held October 25--27, 2016 in Lombok, Indonesia. This ICBMR's theme was Enhancing Business Stability through Collaboration, and the contributions discuss theories, conceptual frameworks and empirical evidence of current issues in the areas of Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Islamic Economics, and competitiveness. All topics include aspects of multidisciplinarity and complexity of safety in research and education.


Ari Kuncoro is a Professor of the Department of Economics, in University of Indonesia and senior researcher in Institute of Economics and Social Research (LPEM FE UI) since 1994. Prior to that, currently he serves as the Dean of Faculty of Economics UI 2013-2017. Ari Kuncoro earned a Master of Arts degree from University of Minnesota in 1990 and completed his Ph.D in economics studies from Brown University in 1994. For academic excellence and outstanding service, he received several awards such as a gold medal for best paper from Global Network Development Network, Heinz-Arndt Award from Australian National University, Best Researcher and Lecture from University of Indonesia. He has been well known in the area of knowledge economics development and government. He has published a number of papers in academic journal including American Review Journal and Bulletin Journal of Bank of Indonesia. His current research interest includes urban economics, economics development, econometrics, Applied Micro Econometrics, and industrial organization.Viverita is an Associate Professor in Finance and banking at the Department of Management, and Deputy Head of Graduate School of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia. She holds a Ph.D in 2005 from Department of Accounting and Finance, Faculty of Business and Economics, Monash University, Australia. She has published papers in some respected international journals and authored a book and book chapters in related research interest. She appointed as academic advisor in Universitas Indonesia from 2014 to 2016. She was a Senior Research Fellow at Bank Indonesia in 2008; Awardee of Endeavour Research Fellow from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, in 2010 at Department of Finance, School of Business, Bond University, Australia; and Research Fellow at Department of Banking and Finance, Monash Business School, in 2016. Her research interests are in the area of Financial Inclusion and Poverty Alleviation; Competition and Efficiency of Banks and Financial Institutions; Natural Disaster Risk Mitigation related to SMEs and Poverty Alleviation; Islamic Bank Asset Pricing and sukuk pricing.Sri Rahayu Hijrah Hati is a Director of Islamic Business Undergraduate Program Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia. She has authored articles in Journal of Social Entrepreneurship and Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics. She has also co-authored book and chapter in book on social entrepreneurship. Currently she is also a vice editor of ASEAN Marketing Journal. Other than her academic activities, she is also active in doing industrial research for many institutions such as Euromonitor International Singapore, Indonesian Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK) and Euromoney Institutional Investor Company (EMIS). Dony Abdul Chalid is a Head of Management Department Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia. He is also a vice editor of South East Asian Management Journal. He received his doctorate in management from Bologna University. He previously appointed as visiting research scholar at Cass Business School and Bank Indonesia. His current research interests include banking, financial market, microfinance, corporate finance and corporate governance.
