Health Promotion Programs: From Theory to Practice
Carl I. Fertman PhD, MBA, MCHES is associate professor of health and physical activity and executive director of the Maximizing Adolescent Potentials Program at the School of Education at the University of Pittsburgh. He teaches courses in health education and health promotion program planning, implementation, and evaluation, health theory, and health counseling. His areas of expertise are health promotion and health education program planning, implementation, and evaluation, promoting child and adolescent mental health, and workplace health promotion. His research focuses on the effectiveness of health programs to address the health needs of children, adolescents, and adults in schools, communities, and workplaces. Dr. Grim recieved her doctorate and Master of Arts degrees in Health Behavior at The Ohio State University. Grim currently serves as the Deputy Editor for Health Promotion Practice, a journal dedicated to linking research and practice in the field of health education.
